FAQ HST for Business Owners

HST still is the prevalent topic among business owners. Despite the deluge of information that is out there, it still is so confusing…so we thought we would start a topic of discussion that might hopefully answer some of the questions.

We also have some common questions for HST answered here….

    Why do invoices I paid in July 2012 show up in the Tax Agency detail report dated April 2012-June 2012 and not on the report dated July 1 2012 to September 30 2012?

    Please help!!

      Hi Janine,
      Thanks for your question. The HST will appear in the Tax Agency detail report based upon the date of the invoice. It isn’t based upon the date the invoice was paid. So if you paid an invoice in July, but it was a June invoice, it will show up in your April – June report. Hope that helps!
